1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and ToolkitDev ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the ToolkitDev website located at toolkitdev.com and all associated tools, features, and content (collectively, the "Service").
By visiting the website, clicking into any tool, or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
2. Description of Service
ToolkitDev provides a collection of free, browser-based utility tools designed for developers, designers, and digital creators. Our tools include, but are not limited to:
- Image Tools: Image compression, resizing, format conversion, and SVG optimisation.

- Utility Tools: UUID generation, password generation, color format conversion, and QR code generation.
All computation performed by ToolkitDev tools occurs entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not receive, store, or transmit any data you input into the tools.
The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by non-intrusive advertising. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, ToolkitDev grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal and commercial purposes. You are permitted to:
- Use the tools to process your own files, data, and content for personal or professional projects.
- Use generated outputs (compressed images, formatted code, generated meta tags, QR codes, UUIDs, etc.) in personal and commercial projects without attribution, subject to Section 5 (Intellectual Property) and Section 6 (Generated Outputs).
- Share direct links to tools with colleagues, in blog posts, tutorials, or on social media.
- Embed links to individual tools in your own content for the purpose of directing users to the Service.
- Access the Service using automated means (bots, scrapers) solely for the purpose of testing the Service's availability, provided such access does not place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following when using the Service:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the Service beyond what is publicly available.
- Use the Service to process content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Service, its related systems, or servers.
- Introduce malware, viruses, trojans, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Service or any user's experience.
- Use the Service in a way that could overload, impair, or compromise the infrastructure, including through distributed denial-of-service attacks.
- Systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Service for the purpose of building a competing product or service.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service or features that prevent or restrict use or copying of any content.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity when using the Service.
- Use the Service to generate or process content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for any user who violates these prohibitions, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
5. Intellectual Property
The ToolkitDev name, logo, website design, source code, documentation, and all original content published on this website (excluding user-supplied input and generated outputs as defined below) are the intellectual property of ToolkitDev and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are expressly prohibited from:
- Reproducing, distributing, publicly displaying, or creating derivative works of the ToolkitDev interface, branding, or original editorial content without our prior written consent.
- Using the ToolkitDev name, logo, or branding in a manner that implies endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without our express written permission.
- Framing or mirroring the Service on any other website or application in a way that misrepresents the origin of the content.
Fair use of the ToolkitDev name for purposes of reference, commentary, criticism, or journalism is permitted under applicable law. Links to the Service are always welcome.
6. Generated Outputs
"Generated Outputs" means any file, code snippet, string, image, QR code, tag block, UUID, or other artefact produced by a ToolkitDev tool as a result of processing your input.
6.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of the content you provide as input. Where a Generated Output is a direct transformation or derivative of your input (e.g., a compressed version of your image, a formatted version of your JSON, a meta tag block derived from your text), that output is also considered your content and you own it.
Where a Generated Output does not derive from user-supplied input — for example, a randomly generated UUID or a randomly generated password — that output is provided to you free of any claim of ownership by ToolkitDev. You may use such outputs freely for any lawful purpose.
6.2 Licence for Generated Outputs
ToolkitDev grants you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, and sublicence Generated Outputs for any personal or commercial purpose without attribution to ToolkitDev, subject to the following conditions:
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that your input content and its transformation into a Generated Output does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights. ToolkitDev does not verify ownership or licensing of input content.
- ToolkitDev makes no warranty regarding the fitness, accuracy, or uniqueness of any Generated Output (e.g., that a generated UUID is globally unique in all contexts, or that a generated password meets specific security requirements of a particular system).
- QR codes generated via ToolkitDev encode data you provide. You are responsible for the lawfulness and accuracy of the encoded data.
6.3 No Server Storage
Because all tool processing occurs client-side in your browser, ToolkitDev never receives or retains copies of your input data or Generated Outputs. We cannot and do not assert any rights over content that we never access.
7. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ToolkitDev expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
ToolkitDev does not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- The results of using the Service will be accurate, reliable, complete, or current.
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected.
- Generated Outputs will meet the technical requirements of third-party systems or applications into which they are integrated.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ToolkitDev and its operators, affiliates, licensors, service providers, employees, agents, and successors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service or any Generated Outputs, even if ToolkitDev has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, ToolkitDev's liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. In no event shall ToolkitDev's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service exceed fifty US dollars (USD $50).
8. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. These third parties may use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised advertisements. ToolkitDev is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of advertisements or third-party websites linked from the Service.
The Service may contain links to external websites or resources for informational purposes. Such links do not constitute an endorsement by ToolkitDev of those websites or resources. ToolkitDev has no control over the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites and accepts no responsibility for them.
Your interactions with third-party services accessed through or alongside the Service are governed solely by the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes how we handle the limited information we collect (such as analytics and advertising data) and how we protect your privacy.
As stated above and in the Privacy Policy, ToolkitDev tools do not transmit your input data to our servers. All file processing and data transformation occurs entirely within your browser session. When you close or refresh a tool, no record of your input or output is retained by us.
10. Termination
Because ToolkitDev does not require user accounts, there is no formal account to terminate. However, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to restrict or block access to the Service from specific IP addresses, networks, or regions if we determine that such access violates these Terms, applicable law, or poses a security or availability risk to the Service.
We may discontinue the Service or any individual tool at any time without liability to you. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any planned discontinuation via the website, but are not obligated to do so.
Sections 4 (Prohibited Conduct), 5 (Intellectual Property), 6 (Generated Outputs), 7 (Disclaimers & Limitations), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination or expiration of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page. In some cases, we may provide additional notice such as a banner notification on the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after any modification to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The most current version will always be available at toolkitdev.com/terms.
